The surrounding glowed, reflecting the siren lights as each ambulance passed. Law stood on the hospital balcony, reflecting the events of that night. Who the heck hired one of the world’s most costly assassin to deal with just a person. Sighing!, his sight became fixated on three boy playing in the corner, they reminded him of family. He shuddered, someone was behind him. Turning, he came face to face with Lily. “Have you being there all along, Lily.” He asked. Lily smiles. Law flustered, turning away. Her smile warmed his heart. “Where is Kate?”, his mouth glued, he didn’t mean to ask that. But this uneasiness he felt whenever in her presence, was driving him crazy. Lily and Kate were twins. Though he was in love with Lily, he ended up sleeping with Kate. Lily shocked, recovers quickly “She is tracking your assailant, Commander law. I would be leaving to assist her”, she bows. Law acquiesces, he could still feel that dull emotional pain spreading, “what of the agent?” “she is safe and receiving, treatment.” Lily replied as she jumps off the balcony and lands elegantly on the ground floor. It was a three storey jump. Law froze, every cell in his body wished to grab her and make her, his and somewhere deep down, he knew he shouldn’t, family and all won’t let it be and he did end up hurting her again. He screamed after her “Don’t let Kate get cocky, my assailants is Lady Jade, one of the four Assassin Lords and do come back safe, you owe me a drink”. Swift waves sent the red camaro bouncing off the street tumbling as it plunged head on into a standby truck and exploded. the explosion sent ripples of wave through the street which in turn blew up other nearby packed cars. Kate lowered her out-stretched leg, her hands were in her pocket. Seeing as they escaped seconds from the red camaro before it exploded, meant they were good. Glancing around, her eyes caught a strange movement. Jumping back, she was inches away from a claw-like gloves strapped on a fair smooth skin, which attacked her from above. At the sight of the attacker, sexual sensation tore at her. He was pretty, like prince-charming pretty. Declan landed, claws first into the ground, raising a lot of dust. His eyes filled with murderous intent. Standing! He grins “Your strong, this fight won’t be a bore”, his eyes fixated on the shadow as the dust cleared. She was quite pretty was the first thought to come to mind as he saw her. Kate burst out laughing “I should have known, you guys aren’t just beginners. Its a shame though, I have to kill you all. Haven’t you heard the Legend, never take on a Marquees.” Kate looked at the sky, thank God the moon is out, tonight. Something struck a nerve, and suddenly she drew out a gun and started shooting at a tree. A girl leaped out and after dodging the bullets, gently squatted on the floor. Her unblinking eyes and expressionless face, trained on it target. Kate paused, the aura she felt behind her was sinister. She turned slowly. A girl with swords in her hands walked out from the midst of the fire, unhurt, and after a few steps slumped. Kate could have swore, she saw a tinge of concern on the expressionless girl’s face but it disappeared immediately. Looking at the girl laying on the floor, she noticed that apart from blood gushing from two bullet holes in her arms, she was unhurt even after the accident and also looked familiar though she couldn’t place the face. Declan knees and touches the unblinking eyes, girl, saying “Calm down, Linda. Lady Jade said we shouldn’t hurt agents”, in reality, he had wanted to kill her before, but now he didn’t want to, there was something he liked about this girl. Lifting his head, he looks at her “An assassin never kills those who they aren’t paid to kill, please leave or we would be forced to”. Boom! Swish!, sounds of swords making contact with each other. Kate confused, looks back. Burin was attacking the girl that slumped on the floor. Kate sensed an attack but before she could turn back. The expressionless face, girl was beside her. Fear shook Kate, the girl looked at her, her blank eyes peering deep into her soul. She whispered “This is for destroying my car” and slapped her. The slap took Kate by surprise and knocked her off her feet. Looking up, the girl’s sword was inches from her throat. Kate froze. Burin grinned, the girl’s eyes were shut though she kept warding off his attacks, and slowly her eyes opened. A shiver ran down Burin’s spine and he jumped back, he had seen those types of eyes before when his whole family was killed, those seething blood red eyes filled with blood lust. Lady Jade stands after much difficulty, her head bowed. Whew! She was in front of an already frozen Burin, her sword aiming for his throat. Bang! It was stopped inches from his throat by a black sword. Lady jade looking at the intruder, paused. What was it with today and someone always stopping her. She had such a gaping smile and was looking back at her without fear. She whispered “That would be all, Lady Jade. Please take your team and leave” A car screeched and came to a halt. The driver exited and threw Linda the keys. Lady Jade jumped back and nodded, Linda sheathed her sword and both Declan and her entered the car. Bowing her head, she says “Am Lady Jade” and while pointing to the two, ” this are Linda and Declan. You must be Lily, Kate and Burin, Law’s personal guards.” Her eyes went to Kate, “You should be grateful we are still in his hometown, if not Linda did have killed you, she doesn’t obey orders once my safety is undermined” laughing, she continues, “Seems Declan likes you also, Kate. my apologies to Commander Law. ” and they drove off. Lily looks at both of them, and nods her head in disgust “Couldn’t you realize that that’s an Assassin Lord, one of the four, you couldn’t have beaten her” Kate replied; “your through with Law, already. Haven’t you guys made up, yet”, and smiled joking, “Jade was quite respectful and is the youngest of that group, how is she an Assassin Lord?, the other two were quite something. What do you think, Burin?” Gazing at the sky, trying to picture the eyes he saw on the moon. Burin nodded, “They were quite something. Those two should be Demon Linda and Death hand Declan or so I read, but Lady Jade is something else”.
